Dallas Hip Hop | Dustin Cavazos - Be.Leave.Me

The sound of hip hop in the great state of Texas has changed dramatically over the last decade. Not that we have lost that third coast swagger rather the swagger is now be interpreted through live bands, orchestral arrangements, and some nerdy sensibilities. Groups like A.Dd+ & Sore Losers (Dallas), the Niceguys (Houston), Caleb Mak (Dallas via College Station), and Kydd (Austin).

At any time, any of these artists can make you laugh, dance, or think and true to the Texas spirit of originality, they have managed to create a sound that is distinct from the syrup sippin anthems of the 00s as well as distinct from the hipster hip hop explosion in pop music. What is great about this new movement in Texas Hip Hop is that third coast legends Bun B, Paul Wall, and Michael 5000 Watts have teamed up with Red Bull to help the heirs of Texas Hip Hop take on the music industry.

Dustin Cavazos is another piece of this hip hop puzzle. Cavazos has succeeded at creating his own sound within this new tradition of hip hop. What we appreciate most is Dustin's musical diversity. Take a listen and let us know what you think.
