So many great bands will be performing on the river this weekend in Cincinnati but Alberta Cross is one that has been receiving constant rotation in the WUW? office. In this age of electronic production and dance remixes, Alberta Cross is one of the special bands (like Bright Light Social Hour) that avoids the pitfalls of trendy music and delivers straight up rock that you can groove to, sing to, or just kick it and drink a beer to. Rolling Stone recently made Songs of Patience available for streaming on their website and the New York Times described their sound as "a British take on southern rock."
